ONE SIZE FITS ALL, Milano September 2010
Mariuccia Casadio: "These masks that Atzori has invited the designers
to make are as precious as jewels; they are stylized and spectacular as sculptures, objects of fanciful and unexpected experimentation. Further, Atzori took no time in reappropriating them, contextualizing them in a sequence of photographic poses. He created domestic portraits of his wife, Kyre Chenven, that, as in a Jean Renoir film, sublimate life and love and, at the same time, tip their hat to the imagery of the fashion world. And, in the end, they transform the artist and his daily life into a total work of art."
Davide Giannella: "Normally, exhibitions and shows, as a result of the way they are organized and perceived, present finished works. Devised for a particular space with a maximum formal efficiency, they are ready to be consumed by the public. Rarely, however, is the organizational and practical work that it takes to construct an art show made evident or given its just value. What distinguishes One Size Fits All is in fact its ability to marry these two visions."
Federico Sarica: "I know Ivano Atzori’s work quite well, having followed him closely for years, and I also, for professional reasons, have spent much time studying the complex dynamics of the fashion world. For me the meeting point, therefore, was rather obvious: a boundless love for the aesthetics of things and the ability to kindle creative sparks where others don’t foresee the possibility."
